WIKING was founded in August 1975 by “VTG Vereinigte Tanklager und Transportmittel GmbH”, Hamburg, which than was a company of “Preussag AG” and the Norwegian “Helikopter Service A/S”, Oslo.
Since 2001, all company’s shares are with Linnhoff Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG (Buxtehude) that also owns RF Forschungsschiffahrt GmbH and URAG Unterweser Reederei GmbH. RF Forschungsschiffahrt provides state-of-the-art technology research vessels. URAG is a professional partner for offshore and inshore towage and salvage.
We are able to facilitate services to all major harbours within the region. In the near future, the newly built JadeWeserPort® at Wilhelmshaven will be at the doorstep of WIKING.
In 2008, we have formed together with the AG Reederei Norden-Frisia (Norden, Norddeich). Together we are offering our services for the Offshore-Wind-Industry.
